Rick Bayles: Orchid's Most Reluctant & Greatest Supporter
Rick Bayles (1950 -- 2022) Because of Rick's Irish Catholic Ancestry and Upbringing we chose St. Patrick's Day for the Visitation. The Celebration of Life for Rick is scheduled for Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church. There will be a brief ceremony and then a party with food and music. "No one has ever seen God. If we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us." -----1 John 4:12 |

A Tribute to Rick
My sister said that Rick was always the "NICEST," "SMARTEST" Guy in the room --- and he was.
The neighbors thought he was a "GEM" --- and he was.
His co-workers thought he was a great "TEACHER" -- and he was.
He had started out as a Ph.D working in academic medicine but ended up going into Inter-operative Monitoring --- which I think really suited his abilities at Hyper-Focus.
As an older Dad, Rick was always mindful that his time with Michael and Laura might be cut short --- and he worked hard to be a great Dad --- and he was.
We ended up traveling rougher terrain than we imagined --- although that often seems to be built into the experience of life.
We never got it perfect and some of what is on this website is what we didn't get perfect.
But what I loved about Rick was that he didn't give up even in the last days of his life.
