Vancouver's intensive Supervision unit

      This is an awarding winning innovative program in Canada for people with mental illness involved in the criminal justice system.

       We're also putting it under Assertive Community Treatment because some of the things the Vancouver Intensive Supervision Unit is doing as a matter of course may be appropriate for ACT Teams.

          Specifically, we are thinking of the Intensive Supervision Unit's working with landlords and individuals to head off any problems or potential evictions down the road.

            That may not be appropriate in every case, AND some people may find it helpful to have the ACT Team working with them as an ally in that kind of situation.
